Be Positive NOW

I Google that few days ago and found this from the webby I linked earlier:  http://ezinearticles.com/?Be-Positive-Now-With-These-6-Easy-Positive-Thinking-Techniques&id=2402652

“It is so easy to caught into the trap of everyday life and get dragged down by the things around us, even when we don't want to be. Simple things like bad traffic for example can make your day go from bad to worse and easily take some of the enjoyment out of your life. So what can you do to avoid this happening? Well, here are several easy things you can do today to start you thinking positively again, here they are:

1) Write a 'to be' list not a 'to do' list. 'To do' lists can seem never ending and annoying if you can't get them all done, not to mention pressurising. Why not write a to do list, for example, 1. be relaxed 2. be considerate to others 3. be humourus 4. be determined and so on. Doing this can focus you really well into having a good feeling day instead of a pressurised day.

2) On waking, don't immediately turn the television on. I am not saying do no watch the news just take some time out in the morning to mentally go through your goals, visualise what you want and focus on happy things. Doing this gets your day off on the right foot, after all do you really want to get your day off by thinking about death and destruction straight away?

3) Drop negative thoughts. Be careful with your thoughts. No-one can force you to think anything you do not want to. You have the power to select the thoughts that you want to hold on to. Why not then just let bad thoughts go and move on to a more positive thought. With practise this becomes easy and very effective to do.

4) Try to associate with positive vibrant people. This will then undoubtedly rub off on you. We have all heard of becoming a product of your environment so why not put yourself in a positive environment to start with. It's not as difficult as you would imagine, rather than avoiding the negative people, make a point of proactively going to talk with the positive people before others start bringing you down.

5) Remember all of the things you have to be happy for. This is a great way to put you in a positive frame of mind. Are you healthy? do you have a secure job? Do you have friends? Can you see? do you live in a nice area? The answers to these and many more questions easily reveal a great deal of things to be thankful for. Make a list of them and run them through your head, I guarantee you will feel better afterwards!

6) Smile, such an easy thing to do but it has such a remarkable effect on both yourself and the people around you. In fact if you feel down, deliberately make yourself smile, apparently it literally does help change your mood due to biofeedback releasing some sort of chemical that literally makes you feel happy. Don't believe me, have a go next time you feel down.

So there we have it six positive thinking steps to very easily make your day feel better. Go ahead and give them a try! If you can start doing these things as a matter of habit you will be thinking a good deal more positively and also feeling happier too on a day to day basis. It takes about thirty days to form a new habit so why not set yourself a challenge to do all of these things for the next thirty days and see what happens.”
