Things happen for a reason...

It may seemed like some lame excuse especially when you're not able to meet a dateline but its true. I learned that during our HK trip.

Don't get me wrong I really did enjoy the trip but was initially not quite in my best of mood during the trip. For one thing, my legs were really aching from miles and miles of walking and was also a little irritated cos it was not that easy to find our way to certain places. But every time we got lost, we would always end up to unexpected places - like the Toy shop/museum in the midst of a busy and overcrowded lane or a real cool shop selling beautiful retro bed linens/cushion covers/table cloths etc... Am so in LOVE with all those little "gem" shops and looking forward to go HK again! ^_^

HK trip was an eye opener and lots of lesson learned. Taught me to be more patient and always keep an open mind. Even though things do not go the way it should have or could have been, there will always be another way and it will be even more better than what it should have or could have been.

Right now, it's my Bedroom 2 project. I was hoping that I will get it all done by 31st August but looks like I will have to extend the dateline. We managed to get the display cabinet for some of hubby's collection though.

Actually on the day of delivery, while making way for new things in the house, my room divider got knocked down by a strong gust of wind and the middle panel hit the dining area and it broke. The uncle who was fixing up our display cabinet apologized to me a couple of times but I kept assuring him that it was ok. It wasn't his fault anyway. Things happen and I was the one who left the main door wide open.

After he left, I called hubby to tell him and I cried cos I really wanted the living room to look nice and I've had that divider for about 4 years. After I hung up the phone, I cried buckets and fell asleep. When I woke up I remembered our HK trip and what hubby told me over the phone earlier. I didn't feel as sad or bad after that and was doing my best to keep a positive outlook.

Just couple of days earlier, I broke my favorite classic Coke tall glass but at that time, I was still ok even though I've had that glass for about 10 yrs. Guess that's why I cried buckets when my room divider broke and then I thought about my room project which will have to be delayed...

I really want to finish this room project cos it's a promise I made to myself to do last year but I didn't finish it. In fact, I forgot all about it even though there's this nagging feeling deep down inside. I was simply too busy with my new job and the room just kept on getting more and more messy.

No matter, it's all good. Am still very happy with what I've done with Room 2 so far. We managed to find the Heart pillow and hubby bought it for me! Till now I've managed to keep the room tidy and I know I will continue doing so. Go me!!! There's also the new clean space for the electronic organ and my simple dining area. I cleaned and tidied up the area and laid out my new table cloth - souvenir from HK ^_^ hee...!! Also, our new display set... ^______^

Hubby still deciding which posters to display on the walls. He still wanna look out for other options for the frames.  We also saw a nice long red bench that would be nice near the display, just behind the sofa but we haven't decided on that yet. Will not rush into things and let it flow. Just like the display set we got, the uncle who delivered it told me that it was sold for more than S$300/set when it first came out and now we bought it for only S$85/set!!

Hubby still has other collectibles but for now, he's only displaying some of his stuff and a little of mine from ThreeA. Mine is this one, surprise Easter/Anni gift from Hubby ^________^  He said 3 more on the way!! Yippeeeee!!!

"Easter Mini Bamba Boss" (it has 2 other "faces" but I like this 1 best!)

I told hubby we will need at least 1 more display cabinet for the new things coming in soon. Best is 3, cos he still has his Marvel/Star Wars/Star Trek collectibles and other stuff too. Probably we won't be displaying all of it. Most of the stuff now all piling up in Room 3.

For now, will continue with clearing Room 3 to make way for the new wardrobes (wall-to-wall).  We will only keep things that we still use or need and the rest will be cleared away. I already know how I want Room 3 to look like. It's still gonna be our changing/ironing/laundry room and with most of the stuff cleared, I will be able to fit in our 3-seater sofa in the room too, for me to chill and read my mags or books. Imagine me, chilling out with a big mug of hot cocoa...... yeah... am already loving the room.. ^_^

I will stay my current course and keep up the positivity. I Know that things will turn out great and if it didn't go as planned, no worries, no panicking. There's always another way and it will be even more better than the initial one.

My new Square came in time, from yours truly, my Lov. Thank you Lov, for everything... Lovya lots!!!

"Peace Day" Square (ok Lov, was just teasing u, it IS pink :P)
